Here come the comments...
Overall, decent song, some of the lyrics seem forced, "ticking" doesnt really fit with the melancholy feel of the song, maybe add a few sung notes (like an oooohhhhh) to fill some sections. Musically, Id personally go with acoustic/electric feel with light drums (brushes?) and keyboard (organ feel)... kind of like Sidewalks and Anthem of our Dying Day (both Story of the Year).
Your next song needs to be a happy song.
1) She's not the girl of your dreams, it might be a crush, but you'll get over it once she leaves
2)Try not to concentrate on failures and missed opprotunities, if people want that, they listen to country... read DEPRESSING
3)Think about all the time you have before you get married and all the people you'll see and meet. People rarely marry the same person they dated in high-school
But hey, what do i know? Im not a rock musician, i just like listening to music, and this is completely my opinion

hehe, yeah im usually not the sad song type of guy, not sure what you mean by ticking, and I am thinking electric guitar....but you will know because I will have music uploaded onto the internet
